The former CP of police for Lagos, Mohammed Abubakar while he was CP was accidentally arrested by Police while driving about alone on the morning.

For the past few months, we have been closely monitoring our brother, Owoyomi Oluwasegun Emmanuel, a full-time Master’s student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Lagos (Matric No. R25430117).

After he began showing signs of mental distress, we took him for medical evaluation, where he was diagnosed with depression linked to prolonged emotional and stress-related challenges. During this period, he also experienced hand tremors (shaking of the hands). He received medical care, and we have been supporting him throughout his recovery.

On 5 July, he left home to buy yam and eggs but did not return. We tracked his phone and found him in Ologode, Ikorodu later that day and brought him home safely. Sadly, he left home again that same night, and we have not seen or heard from him since 5 July.
We are deeply worried about his safety and are appealing to anyone who may have seen him or has any information about his whereabouts to please contact us.
He is tall and was previously fair in complexion, although his complexion is now noticeably paler.

This is a young medical doctor called Dr Innocent. He’s working as a house officer at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital in Calabar, Cross River State.

Dr Innocent and his other doctor colleagues who are also house officers have NOT been paid for 290 days.

Yes you read that right.
A whole 290 days of working as a medical doctor with ZERO pay. That’s about 10 months work with NO pay.

According to Dr Innocent,
The Ministry of Defence has refused to pay their salaries for no reason. This young medical doctors are being worked like slaves while receiving ZERO pay.

They have nobody to speak for them.
They have nobody to fight for them.
They are suffering and dying in silence.

You need to see the joy on olodos' faces when a very academically sound person doesn't succeed in life. They relish it. It's almost as if it gives them more reasons to talk down on education and intelligence.

When we were graduating, after I finished as the top student in my class, many of my coursemates were really eager to see how I would turn out. In fact, I would always hear them gossiping: "No be by Best Graduating Student. To make am for life no be by acada. Street na military. We go see."

I'm glad I turned out really well. Even most of those who went to Ghana for "updates" after school and eventually resorted to fraud can't measure up to my accomplishments. Till today, many of them still randomly call me and jokingly ask, "Senior man, you just dey chop dey go. You no wan give men update na!"

Deep down, they genuinely believe I must be secretly involved in fraud. This is the society we live in, where many young people have come to believe that you can't succeed legitimately, and that every young man who is doing well for himself must be involved in fraud. Even many elderly people and police officers aren't exempt from this line of thinking.

I haven't seen a country that is trying so hard to make education unattractive like ours.

If we continue this way, in a few years, there will be nothing left of our educational system. We are so money-centred that we don't even realize education can be an end in itself and not necessarily just a means to an end.

Everything has become, "How much do you have in your account?" or "Use your intelligence buy Benz na."

This is one of the reasons it really hurts me to see highly intelligent and brilliant people end up poor. I'm always rooting for academically sound people to succeed because I genuinely want people, especially young people, to see that you can make it legitimately through hard work and academic excellence.

Any society where only the olodos become financially successful while the brighter minds, the ones who believe in due process, continue to struggle is a society that is bound to fail.

The Nigeria Police Force claims that the reported video was misleading. That the heavily armed men on bikes were members of a Vigilante Group and registered hunters. Pls @PoliceNG explain to us:

1. How a vigilante group is allowed to wear an army uniform.

2. Why a vigilante group is carrying heavy machine gvns.

3. Why some are masked up and don't have recognized uniforms like all vigilante groups in Nigeria.

Tens of people waiting since 6am around Federal Palace Hotel, VI, for registration as advertised by @inecnigeria. Yet, despite the turn out at the Federal Palace, INEC chose to move the location to Tarkwabay thereby disenfranchising many.

This is unacceptable, and INEC continues to frustrate ordinary Nigerians who simply want to register and vote.

Next week, I will be taking 3 students and 2 teachers to Rome, Italy, all expenses paid by me.

All visas have been issued and all arrangements have been sorted.

The students will represent Nigeria in the Maths and Science categories of the International STEM Olympiad.

They will compete alongside 154 other countries.

The students who won the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad and the teachers who supported them are going. Both the teachers and the students will experience growth together.

I will continue to push our bright minds to global stages.

In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see the outcome of our investments in our children today.

Brother Gbenga, I have read and seen evil of every shade and colour but what happened to me was the kind of evil that i think the devil himself will become depressed if it fell victim of it as I have.

I met my wife in 2016.
She was a single mother of a six year old boy and a three year old girl.
She was 28 years old at the time.

I had never been married but I am four years older than her.
We met at the church I was attending at that time.
She was quiet, modest, humble and easy going.

Her first marriage ended just before she delivered the second child.
Her ex-husband just woke up and walked out of the marriage (according to her)

Since 2016, I accepted her and her children as blessings of God to me and i made sure i showered them with love to the best of my ability.

My wife insisted that i shoukd adopt the children formally and give them my name. I did so.
It was also because I didnt want the stories spreading around in my former church after I proposed to her to get to the children that i left the church.

We relocated to another part of the city to start our lives afresh.
We are a very happy family.

Since we got married, my wife never took in for me.
When we went to the hospital to find out what was wrong, the doctor said it was only a matter of time before I become a father.

Yesterday, I found out accidentally that my wife has been pregnant three times since we got married and she opted to abort the pregnancy without informing me about it.

Her mother called from the USA where she went to do omugwo and she asked her what the delay was regarding her getting pregnant for me.
My wife replied her mother through a voice note that she had taken in three times but chose to abort the pregnancy because she felt if i had my own children, i might change my good behaviour to the children she brought into the marriage.

It was her mother that mistakenly forwarded the message to me.

I have listened to it over fifty times.

I have dropped her and her children off at her father's house this morning.

I didnt tell her what i know

I just told her and her children to pack all their clothes.
I packed mine too.
I told her my house was due for a remodelling courtesy of my recent promotion at work and we will have to keep out of the way for two weeks until it is done.

I am forty two years old now. I am done with being used this way. I admit i have nothing and i have no one.

It is not too late for me to build something tangible with my life.

Nigeria has now been delisted from the International Maths Olympiad, whose finals are happening in Shanghai, China, this July.

It is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the world.

Nigeria can now only participate as an observer nation, while other countries can participate fully.

This was because of the Ministry of Education’s inability to fund students for 4 consecutive years through National Mathematical Center.

It’s a big shame for Nigeria.
