One of the key features it has is being able to compile to MSU-1 or CD files ready to be loaded by my custom SNES CD / Nintendo PlayStation BIOS, simplifying development.
#IndieDev#ScreenshotSaturday Just got my new assembler with CA65 syntax working for the SNES that can compile 65816, SPC-700 and SuperFX assembly. This will be crucial for my SNES CD projects going forward.

I made a font out of the text I used for buttons, so now it should be possible to rasterize text on blank buttons so multiple languages can be supported in the future.
Something I hadn't yet set up but needs to be done: displaying text. An easy task, but first I needed to make some graphics for the font. I've made a couple variations, a blocky style like in old 8-bit systems, and a more natural look. Looking forward to seeing them in action.
So far, there doesn't seem to be any conflicts between the prototype's mapper and SuperFX. Soon I'll have a test program for my BIOS that can be loaded onto a flash cartridge and tested on the real prototype in the future.
#IndieDev There were early plans to include the Super FX chip in the Nintendo PlayStation. My BIOS is being built with the assumption that a later iteration of the Nintendo PlayStation prototype would have included it.

#IndieDev My BIOS now has (currently non-functioning) UI! I also added mouse support. When finished, PLAY will run the game on the inserted disc, SAVES will let you manage saves, and SYSTEM will go to a sub menu for any other features.

#IndieDev My custom BIOS for the SNES CD / Nintendo PlayStation is coming together alongside my game. The original prototype's BIOS isn't free to distribute, but my BIOS will be.

On my own time I'm building a developer environment for the Nintendo PlayStation prototype.
My website is live, the blog will contain updates for that and other homebrew development at: https://t.co/P5IR5U8ERT
