Yorubas are a powerful majority as indigenous people in 8 states in Nigeria namely;
1. Lagos state
2. Oyo state
3. Ondo state
4. Ekiti state
5. Osun state
6. Ogun state
7. Kwara state
8. Kogi state

Why Kogi state? Kogi state is built on three tripods namely;
-Ebira
-Igala
-Yorubas (Okun, Oworo and Ogori-Magongo).

Yorubas are over 30 percent of the population of Kogi state. That three ethnic blocs mentioned above are the power blocs just like WAZOBIAs in Kogi state, therefore Yorubas are part of the majority blocs in Kogi state. Yorubas are in 7 Local governments in Kogi state out of 21 local governments Which is 1/3 of Kogi state.

We have another two states where Yorubas are in Nigeria namely;
-Delta state
-Edo state

In Delta state we have Itsekiris and Olukumis. Itsekiris are in approximately 5 local governments in Delta state with a majority bloc in Warri South, Warri Southwest and Warri North.
There is no difference between Itsekiris and Ilajes. Ilajes and Itsekiris speak the same dialect, eat the same food and have the same lifestyle in the creeks and coast.
Olukumis are indigenous to Delta North.

In Edo state we have Usens, Akoko and Itsekiris. They are all Yorubas.

Yorubas are in 10 states in Nigeria and we are a powerful majority in 8 out of the 10 states.

This is Yoruba Geopolitics. Our strength is ethnopolitics not in Political Christianity or Political Islam. If we play Religio-politics instead of Ethno-politics as laid down by our leader Chief Obafemi Awolowo, we will be consumed in Nigeria. For example, some expansionists are trying to use Political Christianity to annex Lagos state into their axis in 2023 elections, another ruthless group is using political Islam to annex Kwara state into their paper caliphate. Thinking Yoruba first in Nigeria is not an option, IT IS A MUST! or we will be cannibalized just like how Russia is cannibalising Ukrainian territory.

So Yorubas, you have 10 states in Nigeria. The interest and survival of the Yoruba people in those states outside the Southwest is has important as the Yorubas of those 4 other states.

Yoruba is our umbrella for survival and if you prefer to call yourself Olukumi so be it. We all know we are referring to the same thing.
We are Yoruba first!
