Help us spread the word about this important research and share the survey! If you choose to participate, your responses will help:
• Identify shared symptom/treatment patterns
• Assess co-occurrence & potential pathophysiology
• Inform novel anti-fibrotic approaches
I created this illustration on the shared pathology between uterine fibroids, keloids, and Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA). These conditions are often studied in silos, yet emerging evidence points to them sharing fibrotic and inflammatory pathways.
It takes about 12-15 minutes to complete. It’s designed for women 18+ diagnosed with one or more of these conditions (with primary focus on Black women: African American, African, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latina, multiracial). Take the survey here: https://t.co/7QRBIanrRm
In my most recent newsletter article I share some of my fine art and discuss multiplicity, mastery, and embracing depth across multiple disciplines.

Illustrations I did on “comfort measures” to relieve labor pain. For the COPHI doula program in Boston to be used in their educational curriculum that trains community members on how to become doulas.🤍 #doula#midwife
Sweet syndrome is a rare skin condition caused by a build up of white blood cells under the skin that cause inflammation. It’s vital that dermatological skin conditions like this are shown on dark skin to help accurately diagnose and treat them. #representationmatters
Behind the scenes of how I create a medical illustration. Every piece has a slightly different work flow depending on the deliverables and type of project but generally my process always includes research, finding references, sketching and final rendering. #medicalillustration

The purpose of this project was to also reflect the importance of normalizing anatomy without pathology on larger bodies so as to help eliminate bias that frames larger bodies as inherently unhealthy. #antifatbias
