This is about way more than getting high.

Many suffer from drug addiction. Many get wasted and argue with their parents, but they don't get a knife and ambush/murder those who raised them.

In fact, only about 1% of all homicides are double parricide events.

In a 10 year study, there were only 60 documented cases of double parricide.

Drugs may have eased inhibitions, but there is a lot more going on here.

"Firefighters reportedly found Rob, 78, and his wife Michele, 68, inside the home suffering from stab wounds."

TMZ reported Rob and Michelle “had their throats slit by a family member, possibly after an argument.”

Knife killings are brutal. Possible that their throats were slit and they were stabbed.

This is what a normal human being testifying sounds like at trial. Rob Adelson called his Mom Donna Adelson when they made arrests in the murder of Dan Markel. Donna responded that "she had to go."

They never spoke again.

Clearly he is distraught sharing this testimony. The face of normal human in pain. The face of somebody with normal empathy and human qualities retained.
