What a privilege to drop off this Planet Earth Cart @ Jack Lummus Intermediate School! Thanks to our friends at Impact Communities for sponsoring this environmental resource that will help remind our students how important it is to take care of our planet!
Even the Grinch knows it's not ok to litter. Please be sure all trash is disposed of properly this holiday season and ALWAYS.

Keep it clean. Keep it green. Keep Ennis beautiful!
With all the hustle and bustle that comes with the holidays, it's easy for litter to fall out of the car or slip out of a hand. Let's all be extra careful this month to make sure all of our trash gets put in the trash can. Keep it clean. Keep it green. Keep Ennis beautiful!
What do you get when you cross a burger and a cheetah? Fast food! For this and more super cheesy jokes, check out the Funny Animals of the World Joke Book for Kids on the Planet Earth Cart at Dorie Miller Intermediate School courtesy of a sponsorship by Impact Communities.🌎❤️
Thank you to Impact Communities for making it possible to place Planet Earth Carts at our early childhood centers. This incredible resource encourages students to develop a healthy respect for all of the creatures we share our planet with while learning to read, write, and count!
Our friend Shannon was @ Rotary Park for the Jenn’s Giving 2023 5k (a fantastic event you should definitely sign up to participate in next year). Could she just run right on past litter on the ground? NOPE! Thanks Shannon! It takes ALL of to keep Ennis beautiful.
Visited the Boys & Girls Club garden yesterday. The beets are loving the weather. We read beet greens are edible. We tasted them and decided if colors had a flavor, beet greens are what green tastes like & just because something CAN be eaten doesn't mean it SHOULD be eaten!🤢
Celebrate Texas Arbor Day Sat 11/4 9am @ Rotary Park! Our friends with the City of Ennis Parks & Rec will be planting trees & have wrangled a Texas A&M forester to be there to answer your tree questions. We'll be there with a FREE bird feeder craft & litter cleanup kits!
It's hard to keep from munching on all of those delectable sweets while you're out trick or treating. But please be sure the wrappers make it into a trash bin.

It takes ALL of us to keep Ennis beautiful!
#ShoutOut to our community volunteer that spent time at Bluebonnet Park this past week picking up litter. The park should be nice and clean for the community Halloween event Tuesday evening!

It takes ALL of us to keep Ennis beautiful.
Ennis has the most AMAZING events in this part of Texas. It's really something to be proud of. But the trash left behind after large events is NOT. While you're out enjoying the incredible festival downtown Ennis this weekend, please be sure that all trash makes into a trash bin.
Grab your free litter clean up supplies for the Fall Sweep, our annual fall cleanup program that runs through Nov 19th. Supplies are limited so don't wait. Call/email for pickup location (we're on the move quite a bit lately). 972-878-4748 x2823 [email protected]
My poor coworkers. No sooner do we get one pile of boxes moved out than another mountain shows up to take its place. But THESE boxes are the beginning of something INCREDIBLE! Details coming soon 😉❤
Yesterday Garden Club students talked about transplanting vs direct sowing. NOTE TO PARENTS: your kiddos keep asking to take seeds home & I am not good at saying NO to children who are excited about gardening. You may find produce popping up in your houseplants. 😃🪴🍅
Save the date! We’ll be at the event at Bluebonnet Park with fun games & lots of prizes. We’ll also have plenty of reusable bags for all your treats.
