If I don’t follow you back, forgive me. I really want to, it is just that I have dedicated this account to one purpose, and I get distracted easily. I am kind of dumb that way.
On Enoden, I met a guy visiting from Ohio. I used to live in Cleveland as a kid, and so we got talking. Turns out he is visiting from Cuyahoga Falls, the home of Lawson, one of the most ubiquitous convenience chains in Japan. It’s such a small world!
I found my favorite pigeon today. He let me take his picture. The pattern on his face is so cool! Then, grok turned my picture into a video. It captured him so well! What amazing times we live in.
If you are willing to hike, there are some great trails in the small mountains surrounding Kamakura. This is one of my favorite trails which ends (or begins) at this house.
The trail ends abruptly in an ally in an aging neighborhood. At this point, you can turn around and enjoy the trail again or find the bus stop at the end of the alley.
The trailhead is East of the “Great Buddha” statue accessible from Hase Station along the Enoden line.
From Hase, first go North to the Daibutsu (大仏)
Then East along the main road until you find a tunnel through the mountain. Off to the right (facing East) is the trailhead.
