This. My life changed when a mentor finally pulled me aside and told me that hard work does NOT equal success. It’s not that I don’t “work hard” anymore. I am just more diligent with my time and mental health. The smartest workers are successful. Not the hardest workers.
It’s been a week and I’m still thinking about what my 14-yo son said when I asked him how he goes about achieving success:
“Doing the bare minimum required for the result needed.”
