Beyond them, through the walls and the throb of the sound system, hundreds of ravers carried on moving. Most had no idea that Manchester's old underworld rules had just arrived at the door with both barrels.

To their horror, the masked man wasn't bluffing. He squeezed the trigger. Shotgun pellets sprayed out with thunderous force, ripping through flesh and bone as the bouncers collapsed, clutching their legs.
