The Iran War, Ideological Claims, and Reminders from the Past https://t.co/WqJh77sruy The Iran war, which flared up with the bombing campaign launched by the US-Israel coalition on February 28, has now passed the 40-day mark, and the parties have agreed to a 15-day ceasefire. The ceasefire deal came after four days of heightened tensions, during which Trump threatened to bomb Iran back to the Stone Age if it didn’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz. We know that these short ceasefire windows between wars are usually seen as breaks to catch your breath, tend to wounds, and regroup. That’s exactly what this ceasefire means for Iran. But for the US and international capital, it carries another crucial meaning: the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. In fact, the ceasefire agreement makes Iran’s reopening of the strait conditional on the US halting its attacks.

Do War Expenditures Constitute a Burden for Capitalism? https://t.co/xqt7zs5T7H Such an empty expectation –that the burden of war will force the rulers to retreat– will bring no benefit whatsoever to the working class. The working class must focus directly on the heart of the problem, namely capitalism, and organise its anti-war struggle as part of the struggle against capitalism. Effective methods of struggle such as strikes aimed at disrupting or halting the activities of the arms industry, or transport sector strikes that block the shipment of military materiel, are historical legacies of working-class struggle. Today, remembering these and transmitting them to new generations of workers has become an important task. It is the responsibility of all working people who oppose imperialist wars to strive to replace the ineffective activities of trade unions –which amount to little more than issuing anti-war declarations– with actions organised on this basis.

Epstein Case: Plutocracy and Decaying Capitalism https://t.co/ALDptRMVIZ Every sincere person who is genuinely disturbed by this filth and wants to eliminate it must join the struggle against decaying capitalism, against its increasingly plutocratic order. The target is not the West or America, not Judaism or Jewish people. The target is capitalism, and the only force capable of overcoming capitalism is the working class. If the working class can mount an anti-capitalist revolutionary struggle in an organized manner, it will be possible to cleanse this filth.
Following Israel, American imperialism also bombed nuclear facilities in Iran this morning. Under international law, attacking nuclear facilities is considered a crime. Workers at the facilities lost their lives, and the region is now under threat of radiation. But neither the International Atomic Energy Agency nor the United Nations has uttered a word! American workers, however, are holding large protest demonstrations in many cities, opposing the war and demanding Trump's resignation. #DownWithImperialism #DownWithZionism #ww3 #DownWithTheZionistStateOfIsrael #DownWithTheMullahRegime

May Day 2025 in Turkey: “No Liberation Alone - Either All Together or None of Us!”
In the struggle against the regime and the capitalist order, the decisive factor remains the working class entering the arena as an organised force. This constitutes the urgent task demanding concentrated efforts from all socialists, advanced workers, and militant trade unionists.
