@fbmarius@Eyeswide_0pen@therobbieharvey It’s my understanding that most of these children were born without their existence ever being filed with the state. So there probably wasn’t any financial incentive - which just makes the story even weirder.
@cath0de I think it’s because opinion on the genre is so disputed. Makes them feel like they have to hype it all the time. Ska fans were like this back in the day.
@prog_1211 This, Doc at the Radar Station, and Ice Cream For Crow are the ultimate Beefheart trilogy, in my opinion. Incredibly strong finish to an amazing body of work.
@nolensflare@SolaceCinema I get what you’re saying and somewhat agree, but it helps to think of him more as the leader of a theater troupe than a typical director. The same actors portraying different characters/involved in different stories.
@Hot_Dog_Wind@hissingchoir@exhaustdata She used to post on the old E6 Townhall message board (RIP) back in the day and would sometimes upload clips of her doing NMH covers.
@mrdotgrizzle@femalejosman That’s a good point. Would’ve been interesting to hear where John took his music as the 80s kicked off in earnest. I think about that regarding a lot of artists we lost too early. What direction would Hendrix have gone in had he lived into the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc?
