2 Nephi 25:26
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."
@dttpeople@TravelbytheCoin Of course you have responded to statements and claims I've made but I genuinely don't thing you've ever answer a question I've proposed. I also didn't use the word never so you're being hyperbolic.
But feel free to show me a time where you answered a question about faith.
@Courtex0@Darkpyre_1031@dttpeople The only reason I don't do that is because Id much rather have a personal conversation about complex topics like this so I can answer questions with the individual as the come up in a good faith environment. JP is not good faith.
If you genuinely want to know fell free to DM me.
@dttpeople@TravelbytheCoin How is it False. All you do on here is spread lies, slander, and attack people's faith in Christ. Answering my question would actually build faith not tear it down. So I might be inclined to if you answered the question.
I dont even see you building other "Christians" faith.
@Darkpyre_1031@dttpeople It is not accurate almost at all, also missionaries are not theologians, they're young men and women who have testimonies of Christ.
I'd love to have a discussion but its much longer than I can write here. Put simply 3 heavens is beyond reductive its a comprehension tool at best
@ElJefe53209440 That is a perfect straw man of our faith. How about try learning what we actually believe next time before you try to claim to be some intellectual on what others believe.
@5Solas Alma 30:40-41, "And now what evidence have ye that there is no God, or that Christ cometh not? I say unto you that ye have none, save it be your word only. But, behold, I have all things as a testimony that these things are true;" Alma the Younger for the win.
@MartinP49146517@sola_chad I'm fine if you call members of the Church of Jesus Christ heretics but we are not Protestants. We want nothing to do with them. We are far closer to Catholics and Orthodox than Protestants.
@Salt_n_Smoke Also thees chapters of Hebrews are some of the biggest reasons I believe the claims of Joseph Smith because he is the only man who truly aligns with these principles of all the Christian faiths.
@5Solas Sweet so you're a presuppositionalist. You can't justify your cannon, God is Evil, and you struggle to read the text of the Bible.
I'll give you credit though. Calvinism is the logical conclusion of Creedal Christianity so you're at least logically consistent with your beliefs.
@athiestboi Read the book of Abraham. It explains that the Creation story is not a literal 7 days but actually a council or spiritual creation before the time of the actual creation. They are 7 times call days. The physical creation happened after.
@iiTzz_Tyrell Utah should win and I hope they do. Can't have the second best team in college football losing. I only want the best of competition in a few weeks.
@PetGorilla I'm simply pointing out that this doesnt contradict either of our world views if you read the text honestly. I'm dont have to believe in eternal marriage to acknowledge that you twisted Christ's words to fit you theology.
@PetGorilla I didn't add any word I simply pointed out that the words you claim are there aren't. Jesus never claimed that there was no marriage in heaven.
I'm not saying he said there was but an honest reader can see that this says nothing about whether we remain married in heaven.
@PetGorilla Revelation 3:21, "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."
Sounds like we're gonna sit in the throne of God and rule by his side according to revelation chapters 2-3.
@PetGorilla Romans 8:17, "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."
Hebrews 1:2, "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things"
@PetGorilla Philippians 2:6-7, "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:"
