It's always wonderful to revisit Texhnolyze. It's mind-boggling to think something like this could be pitched and made the way it was, so I'm very grateful that Masao Maruyama was so willing to take chances on risky experimental stuff in the early 2000s. #TEXHNOLYZE20th

In Buddhist hell, the 'reviving hell' is where killers are sent and this fits considering why at least some people were banished from the Surface to begin with. And the ground is always hot and burning - like a Crucible, maybe? #TEXHNOLYZE20th

Pool people are still a mystery to me. The collars and wires are connected to something. Humans somehow being grown from Raffia as the Class's solution for their own failing bodies? Class members just bathing in Raffia for healing? Who knows. #TEXHNOLYZE20th

After 20 episodes, a big payoff for the very small detail of the statue in the Organo boardroom as representing the Class. Whatever's the pool's purpose, it's clearly treated with a kind of reverent importance from the way the statues surround it. #TEXHNOLYZE20TH
