We just came back from a journey of 150 million years in three days... as part of the "Tethys Sea to the Mediterranean" fieldtrip of the @margeohaifa leaded by
@WaldmannNicolas and @NuritShtober from the Department of Israel Studies at @UofHaifa.

We just returned from the "Dead Sea analog to Deep Sea" field trip with our students leaded by @WaldmannNicolas from @margeohaifa. Exceptional lacustrine outcrops allows identifying at extreme high-resolution different processes, sedimentary architectures and facies.

We were able to catch that (almost) in the act in the #RedSea and show the direct impact on iron and NOx in both erosion and emplacement on the flow path along the slope.
