Another big step towards #NetZeroSarojiniNagar2040, for a green and sustainable future!
In the presence of Hon’ble Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri @SureshKKhanna ji, Sarojini Nagar today took a defining step towards its Net Zero 2040 vision with the launch of Net Zero Industry under “The Green Shift”.
From conducting 9+ impactful programmes across the forest of Tarai region, launching the Net Zero program in the presence of Shri Sanjay Dutt ji, to now operationalising one of the most critical pillars, this is where vision turns into execution.
We have created a clear, time-bound roadmap for transformation, built on five pillars:
https://t.co/eNZ1o6GhFE Zero Schools & Colleges
https://t.co/8q7vtcmSRJ Zero Societies & RWAs
https://t.co/S0mkjNUmUO Zero Townships
https://t.co/XS0I2AmpLO Zero Industry (launched today)
https://t.co/bgpS2OCNb3 Zero Villages & Sarovars
Today marks the launch of Goal #4 – Net Zero Industry, bringing MSMEs and industries to the forefront of climate leadership. This is not a symbolic mission, it is a structured model for 2040.
To make our appeal stronger and attract more MSMEs to participate in this initiative, we will be awarding The Green Shift Industrial Excellence Award on 5th June, on World Environment Day, consisting a prize money of ₹5 lakh to the best performing enterprise.
Today, the following Industry partners and distinguished dignitaries were present amongst us to kick-start this event—UP Rollers Association, Radico Khaitan, K3M Road Safety and Advertising, GPS Renewable Pvt Ltd, SLMG Beverages Pvt Ltd, Jakson Group, along with Shri Rameshwar Singh ji, Shri Rajneesh Sethi ji, Shri Vikas Arya ji, Shri Vivek Ladhani ji, Shri Shailesh Vikram Singh ji, Shri Tejpal Sial ji, Shri Ajay Gupta ji, Shri Karan Chanda ji, Shri Shiv Shankar Awasthi ji, Shri Sarvesh Goyal ji, Shri Khalid Masood ji, Shri Anand Singh ji, Shri Gore Gulati ji, Shri Manjeet Talwar ji, Shri Sarthak Rastogi ji, Shri Ajay Singh ji, Shri Sidharth Harish ji, Shri Anil Virmani ji, Shri Pawan Dhawan ji, Shri Raju Punjabi ji, Shri Virendra Khatry ji, Dr Deepak Agrawal ji, Dr Sandeep Kapoor ji, Shri Manish Modi ji, Shri Nirmal Singh ji, Shri Manish Singh ji, Shri Chander Prakash ji, Shri Gaurav Prakash ji, Cap RS Nanda ji, Shri Manmeet Chaddha ji, Shri Amit Srivastava ji and all the respected guests.
What makes this initiative powerful is the recognition that industry is not just part of the problem, but the biggest part of the solution.
Why Industry Matters the Most?
Industries and MSMEs stand at the center of this transition:
👉 5–6% working hours lost due to heat stress
👉 8–10% productivity loss annually from pollution
👉 ₹5–10 lakh loss per ₹1 crore turnover MSME
👉 ₹100+ crore annual loss in Sarojini Nagar cluster
At the global level:
👉 1.1°C temperature rise (IPCC)
👉 70 lakh deaths/year due to pollution (WHO)
👉 EU CBAM (2026) threatens $771 million export impact
The message is clear: sustainability is now an economic necessity.
What truly strengthens this movement is the robust support system we have built around our industries.
This is not a journey industries have to walk alone:
✅ Government backing: ZED Certification (27,000+ MSMEs), MSE-GIFT, RAMP, subsidies, and policy support
✅ ₹20 lakh concessional loans + 2% interest subvention
✅ ₹51,883 crore green financing (IREDA FY26)
✅ ₹3 lakh crore CGTMSE coverage
✅ Technical expertise: IIT & IIM-trained experts through a dedicated Net Zero Helpline
✅ Private ecosystem partners: Carbon accounting, energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and green tech providers
From Panchamrit commitments under Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji to ground execution under Hon’ble CM Shri @myogiadityanath ji, we are well set to secure our future, and it only requires awareness and stewardship from our side.
Net Zero is no longer a distant ideal—it is a measurable, profitable, and achievable model. Sarojini Nagar has taken the first step. The journey to 2040 has begun. 🇮🇳

A breathtaking moment from the Himalayas
A photographer has captured a rare and stunning “nine-coloured” Himalayan bird soaring gracefully over Bhutan, showcasing nature’s extraordinary artistry.
This wild silver-maned beauty is vanishing.
The lion-tailed macaque—rare, regal, and found only in India’s Western Ghats—is among the world’s most endangered primates, with just 2,500–3,500 individuals left in the wild.
Earth Is Not A Chessboard
•Power politics is burning the planet.
•Wars and militarisation are climate accelerators.
•Nuclear and modern warfare cause irreversible ecological damage.
•Geopolitics blocks climate cooperation—especially US–China action.

Environment Warriors is shaping a strong, people-driven movement for nature conservation. This initiative encourages citizens to actively protect the environment, support biodiversity, and adopt sustainable practices in everyday life.
Every feather tells a forest’s story of balance, beauty, and belonging.
Approximately 48% of the world’s ~11,000 bird species are in population decline, and 1,481 species — nearly 1 in 8 — are now threatened with global extinction, largely due to habitat loss.
