It's true - a fresh basket of laundry is a WONDERFUL place to relax! And we do a ton of laundry every week. Is there a place you like to hang out that might seem weird? Let us know! #Monkey#Laundry#HappyPlace#Donate https://t.co/RsDVM0ur9J

This cute photo is in our 2024 calendar - can you guess which month?

Happy Birthday Pawa, Samantha, Nicky, Lindsay, & Goldie! Whether you want to honor a person or pet for their birthday, a holiday, or some other occasion…your “In Honor of” gift to our organization will show them how much you care for them. https://t.co/ubx9gB7gBX
George will receive the support he needs throughout this project. Our team (like Matt!) is committed to ensuring that the tech works & he is getting the most out of the experience—the same way we supported our monkey helper recipients. Consider a gift: https://t.co/TGyyFwBgby
8/11 I guess that while I am playing these games, exercising and having fun, the glove is also taking measurements of my finger, hand, and arm movements to track my progress. Really interesting stuff.
7/11 To play, I have to use my hands and arms – similar to what my Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist want me to do with my exercises. It helps quite a bit in keeping my upper body parts moving.
6/11 I have tried a few games – so far Whack a Mole, the game with the airplane, and the fishing game are my favorite. Some of it is easy to follow and some of it is a bit of a challenge, but I’m enjoying it.
5/11 When Envisioning Access first introduced me to Cognimate and their rehab glove, I was a bit intimidated. I’ve never tried anything like that before. I have never really played video games, but the glove is fun.
4/11 I was very interested in what Envisioning Access was doing and volunteered to be involved. I’m very curious about what people are trying to do to help people who have the problems I do or other types of neurological diseases.
3/11 When I was first diagnosed, I was still working & worked full-time for 37 years at an electronics firm. It was only in the last 12-13 years that I had to leave my job and go on disability.
Happy Thanksgiving! This Thanksgiving, we want to share our genuine appreciation for YOU. Thank you for joining us on the journey from Monkey Helpers to Envisioning Access. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you!
2/11 I’ve gone onto secondary progressive MS from my initial diagnosis, so things have leveled out the last few years so I am able to function a little more. (This is a photo of me and my wife Deborah from the Envisioning Access event in March.)
1/11 My name is George and I have been living with MS for the past 32 years. I was first diagnosed when I was 40 and it has been a bit of an uphill battle if I’m being honest. But I try to do the best I can to overcome some of the obstacles I’ve been presented with.
We are so excited to share details from the first pilot project from Envisioning Access and Cognimate (formerly SensoRehab)!
Over the next week, you will get to know George, a 72-year-old living with MS, and see why he is excited to be a part of this project.
