Who remembers Atan offot road? A whole community dislocated by poor roads, reduced to a criminal hideout. Suddenly, we have forgotten how it was. Governor Udom came and changed all that. You can even land a plane there today.

However, His Excellency has directed Amitec Construction company to work day & night for a quick delivery of quality & durable job, pending a permanent solution to the perennial flood issue in this area.

As the government promised, remedial measures has been taken to fix the failed spot at IBB Avenue, Uyo.
When completed, the road will enhance smooth movement of vehicles and alleviate the untold hardship being experienced by motorists and surrounding residents.

This was my experience today when I and my team at the Ministry of Works inspected the 19.7Km Anua- Mbak-Ishiet Road handled by Verini Construction Company.

It’s saddened that a few people still erect illegal structures, make kiosks and build shops on government right of way to extort money from the same Government as compensation.
My people, please, this habit is treacherous, improper and anti-development.
