Epic Again is the personal brand of Gary Cooke. It's all about promoting non-toxic content based around video games, miniatures, D&D, and all things nerd.
Creative block gets worse when you demand the finished idea too early.
Don’t start with the novel.
Start with:
“What if?”
Then ask:
“Then what?”
Follow the consequences.
Sometimes creativity needs a trail of breadcrumbs, not a master plan.

Every WoW healer should sort deaths into 3 buckets:
1. Mine to Solve
2. Shared Responsibility
3. Never Mine to Solve
Stop asking “Could I have healed more?”

New miniatures feel precious.
Used miniatures feel like permission.
Strip off the heavy paint. Get the details back. Try the weird color idea. Mess it up. Try again.
My old Facebook Marketplace Guardians may end up teaching me more about painting than the shiny new models.
I bought used Aeldari because they were cheaper.
Now I’m discovering I genuinely enjoy stripping off years of old paint, uncovering the sculpt underneath and giving somebody else’s abandoned project a second life.
Apparently Facebook Marketplace unlocked another hobby.
When you accidentally discover the best cure for miniature-painting perfectionism: Buy someone else’s battered old models.
If they’ve survived 30 years, three paint schemes, Facebook Marketplace and a bath in questionable brown soup, they can survive your experiments too.
There’s probably a hobby somewhere in your house quietly judging you.
Paints.
A guitar.
Miniatures.
A notebook.
A camera.
Something you keep saying you’ll get back to “when things calm down.”
What’s yours?
What if you haven’t “lost” your creativity?
What if it’s just been sitting unused while work, kids, errands, and adulthood slowly occupied every available square inch?
That question became Episode 1 of Epic Again.
Most adults don’t decide to quit being creative. We get busy.
The paints stay closed. The books stay unread. The project becomes “someday.”
Then five years pass.

Sharing your hobby with your kid doesn’t mean creating a tiny version of you.
Invite them into your curiosity.
Let them change the project.
Let them walk away when they’re done.
Our Aeldari army isn’t even painted yet.
It’s already better because my daughter helped shape it.
A necromancer who loves death is expected.
A necromancer obsessed with preserving life has a problem.
And problems create choices.
That’s the secret: your character doesn’t need a wildly original premise. They need two believable parts of themselves that occasionally disagree.
The fastest character-building formula I know:
Familiar archetype + conflicting value + ordinary pleasure + social weakness.
That’s it.

Stop trying to create an RPG character nobody has ever seen before.
A cowardly warrior who believes protecting people is sacred gives you more to PLAY than 12 pages of increasingly exotic backstory.

Your tank just went from full health to floor décor in half a second. Before you immediately decide you failed as the healer, ask one question:
Was that death actually yours to solve?

Healer brain:
Tank dies.
DPS stands in something glowing like the surface of the sun.
Interrupts: 0.
Defensives: mysteriously absent.
Healer: “I probably could’ve saved that.”
We need to stop reviewing deaths by vibes.

Your tank dies in 0.8 seconds.
Before asking “Why didn’t I heal more?” ask:
What killed them?
Was it actually healable?
What cooldowns were available?
Was mitigation used?
Were mechanics missed?
Sometimes the answer really is you.
Sometimes it very much isn’t.
One of the worst habits you can develop as a WoW healer is assuming every death was yours to prevent.
Review it instead:
Mine to Solve.
Shared Responsibility.
Never Mine to Solve.
Accountability makes you better.
Automatic self-blame doesn’t.

Warcraft Forever may be the easiest entry point WoW RP has had in years.
Shared population. Better names. Fresh Year One stories.
And you still only need one thing to start:
One conversation.

Don’t wait until life calms down to return to your hobbies.
It probably won’t.
Pick one thing you miss. Find 5–20 minutes that actually exists. Remove one obstacle. Make something small. https://t.co/UyhG9fQKuW
