@ZelenskyyUa@RoseOfEden Meanwhile, Russian Z-bloggers like Fighterbomber are celebrating this horrific attack as an amazing accomplishment by their terrorist country.
As of now, already 5 people have been reported killed in Kyiv as a result of last night’s Russian attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Around 40 people have been injured in the capital, and another 7 in the Kyiv region. There are already 28 injured in Kharkiv. And two people have been injured in the Odesa region. In total, 180 sites have been damaged across the country, including more than 50 ordinary residential buildings.
A search and rescue operation is still ongoing in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. Efforts continue to find people under the rubble. More than 10 people are reported missing. All necessary services are also operating in the Obolonskyi district. And recovery efforts are underway after Russian strikes in the Poltava region. Overall, more than 750 personnel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and nearly 750 police officers have already been engaged across the country to eliminate the consequences of the attack. I am grateful to all who help the rescuers and the police
Also, earlier today, during a humanitarian mission in Kherson, the Russians twice attacked a vehicle of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs with FPV drones, and the Russians could not have been unaware of which vehicle they were targeting. The Head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and eight other staff members were inside. Fortunately, no one was injured. The mission personnel have been evacuated.
Even so, a significant number of missiles and drones were shot down during these attacks – the overall interception rate is over 93%. Of course, it needs to be higher. And of course, the most difficult challenge is defending against ballistic missiles. I thank everyone who is helping us with this. There must be a just response to all these strikes. And pressure on Moscow must be such that they feel the consequences of their terror there. It is important that global sanctions against Russia remain in place. Russia’s accountability for this war, and our sanctions pressure, must work at full strength. And it is also very important that the world does not stay silent about this terror and stands with Ukraine.
Ukraine allows Putin’s May 9 parade to go ahead after Trump’s intervention and a promise to exchange 1,000 Ukrainian POWs. No prisoners have been freed, and Putin after his parade unleashed one of the biggest missile and drone barrages of the war. Here is a Kyiv high-rise where dozens were killed and injured last night, including children, and many more still remain under the rubble.
Ukrainian President Zelensky has issued an official decree allowing Russia to hold its Victory Day parade.
The decree sets out a cease-fire zone covering Red Square in Moscow.

After losing a job he clearly loved, he told passengers: “I don’t remember any of the bad times… just the good ones.”
We sent our military experts to the Middle East, including specialists in interceptor drones and electronic warfare. We demonstrated to some countries how to work with interceptors. We sent our military experts to the Middle East, including specialists in interceptor drones and electronic warfare. We demonstrated to some countries how to work with interceptors. Did we destroy Iranian “shaheds?” Yes, we did. Did we do it in just one country? No, in several. And in my view, this is a success.
This was not about a training mission or exercises, but about support in building a modern air defense system that can actually work. In those countries that opened up their air defense systems to us, our experts were able to very quickly advise how to make those systems stronger. In some cases, we directly shared our experience in actual defense. In any case, all of this has had a very positive outcome, and it commands respect for Ukraine.
We also shot down drones with jet engines. This is a very good signal, I think. We showed that this works. Now it is only a matter of time before we begin mass production of interceptors that will destroy drones with jet engines.

Ceasefire day 1:
Israel took multiple waves of Iranian missile fire after the ceasefire was announced.
Kuwait reports that more than two dozens drones were launched by Iran since 8am.
UAE is currently under an Iranian missile attack.
Iran, via state media, reports strikes against Lavan Island and the oil infrastructure there.
The US Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) held a training exchange in Texas with Ukrainian experts on countering drones used by drug cartels.
Ukrainian specialists led the training, sharing experience in drone development, testing, and real-world counter-drone tactics.
April Fools’ Day, 2022: when Ukraine pranked Russia’s air defence — with real explosions.
In the early hours of 1 April 2022, as Russia’s full-scale invasion entered its second month, Ukrainian forces carried out one of the war’s most unexpected operations.
Four helicopters crossed the border into Russia.
They were not detected.
The strike involved two Mi-24 attack helicopters and two Mi-8 transport helicopters, flying at extremely low altitude to evade radar.
On board were not only pilots, but also operatives from Ukraine’s military intelligence agency @DI_Ukraine, including members of the special unit known as “Shaman Battalion.”
They were tasked with:
— covering the helicopters on the ground
— engaging enemy air defence if needed
— preparing for potential evacuation inside Russian territory
The risk was understood to be high. At the time, Ukrainian helicopter crews were already sustaining losses in missions to besieged Mariupol.
The target was a Rosneft fuel depot in Belgorod, close to the Ukrainian border.
At around 05:00, the helicopters launched unguided rockets, hitting at least eight fuel tanks, each holding roughly 2,000 cubic metres.
A large fire followed. Russian emergency services deployed significant resources, and local evacuations were reported.
One detail stands out in these recollections.
During the operation, intelligence operatives reported spotting Russian TOR air defence systems — and opening fire on them from the air.
In effect, a system designed to stop such attacks was caught unprepared, in daylight, under direct fire.
Ukraine did not immediately confirm its role.
At the time, strategic ambiguity was part of the playbook.
But the message was clear.
The raid demonstrated three things early in the war:
— Russia’s border regions were vulnerable
— its air defence coverage was inconsistent
— Ukraine could plan and execute deep, coordinated strikes beyond the frontline
It also highlighted the integration of aviation and intelligence units, with HUR operatives embedded directly into combat missions.
Four years on, the methods have evolved.
Helicopter raids have largely given way to long-range drones and precision strikes.
But the logic remains the same.
The idea that distance equals safety —
once tested on April Fools’ Day —
has since been repeatedly disproven.
What looked, at first glance, like a daring one-off operation
now reads more like an early preview of a wider campaign.

@AirCanada Dear @AirCanada, my family appreciated the CEO stepping up and explaining how distraught Air Canada is over this tragedy. Please ignore the circus that the head clown of Canada is making of this not being in both languages. I am certain there is more to this than a public video.
The cost of your flight went up because you searched for it twice. Your rideshare costs more because your phone battery is dying.
This is surveillance pricing – corporations using your own data and behaviors against you.
In the US Senate, I’ve got a plan to ban it.
As early as a year ago, we proposed a Drone Deal to the United States of America, because it is our key partner.
The agreement is not only about interceptor drones. First and foremost, it includes naval drones and long-range drones that have been proven in the war. It also includes a package for the exchange of critical knowledge, training, and so on.
I am very interested in signing this agreement with our close partner – the United States of America. So when President Trump is ready, I will definitely be ready. Our negotiating team will discuss this issue at the meeting in the United States.
