Today, after Sandhya Rani Dhar passed, jailed monk Chinmoy Krishna Das was granted FIVE hours of parole for her funeral and a visit to his temple— before being sent back to prison. We have seen hardened criminals, guilty of brutal crimes get more compassion.

A reminder - the Bangladesh state refused to let Das out to bid a final farewell to his mother after keeping him behind bars for close to two years for the "crime" of advocating for the beleaguered minorities of #Bangladesh. Das was refused bail one trumped up charge after another - including being accused of a murder that occurred AFTER he was already in custody.

This is the level of persecution global media, #Humanrights groups and policy makers have turned a blind eye to, simply because the victims are Hindu. A slow genocide where Bangladeshi Hindus have declined from 22% of the population in 1951 to 8% today.
