44 years ago today, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was signed into law. It laid the foundation for a stronger, more just Canada.
It is up to us all to protect the values of freedom and equality enshrined in the Charter — to keep building a better Canada, for all.
@MarcNixon24 Wouldn’t that make the bills void? I’m no expert but I thought that a contract that breaks the law would void the contract. So as a MP can’t you take those bills to the courts to have them repealed?
@supressedvoic You guys gotta get your story straight. Was it an open air prison or was it beautiful? Can it be both?
And Israel wouldn’t have done anything had the people of Gaza not tried to invade its neighbour.
@PasternakTO@OPP_News@RCMPONT It’s time for Council to seriously consider asking for the Chief’s resignation.
Repeatedly “urging” him to do his job hasn’t worked. Under his watch, corruption became widespread & accountability disappeared.
Leadership means responsibility & right now, residents deserve better.
@AlexanderT38231@CP24 54 over, seems like overkill bragging about this arrest. What’s worse is it’s a kid, we were all young once.
I’ve seen cops do worse, FFS, look at how dirty Toronto police are… how do we even know what the police say anymore is true?
@JesseLepere@CP24 The problem is some officers avoid blemishes by resigning before discipline lands. That weakens the idea. Oversight should be an independent, elected civilian body with a single mandate and short, fixed terms.
@billmaher please oh please don’t have @cafreeland back on the show, she was the right hand of @JustinTrudeau when you were comparing him a Nazi - https://t.co/CinBk4jPyk
As a Canadian who loves your show, her presence made it less tolerable. #Canada#Covid19
@liberal_party@coreyhoganyyc No one rejected it, they got fooled like Ontario did in 2013. Education is decaying in Canada… has been since the 1970’s because government knows, ignorance only benefits the political class.
