Lots of talk about #whistleblowers lately but have you heard of #ag-gag #laws? They make #undercover recordings on #farms & in #slaughterhouses illegal. If someone speaks up after discovering #abusivebehavior they are subject to a fine. #notok

@FarmChicJodi It’s a terrible situation and I’m not sure of an effective way to solve the issue either. I think a start would be to make fines so high for staging videos that it acts as a deterrent.

@FarmChicJodi In those circumstances whistleblower protections would not protect them. I’m referring to situations where people are truly uncovering violations. The law should be written to protect them. If the discovery process reveals manufactured videos then they should def be charged.
