It was 60 years ago today, on October 29, 1966, that a high-level Cuban delegation arrived in Hanoi to reaffirm the unwavering solidarity with the Vietnamese people, who were facing one of the most difficult stages of their struggle for liberation and national reunification.

Rubio said a few days ago: âIâm aware that there are some companies and individualsâand othersâthat would love to be involved in Cubaâs economic future. Right now, thatâs not possible. Itâs not feasible because of Helms-Burton...â

Is it just me, or is there an inherent contradiction between the State Departmentâs statement and Rubioâs statement? Are they bluffing? Are they simply lying? Are they stalling?
What is not covered at all in the statements is thatâregardless of their sick strategyâthe people of Cuba are hurting while a handful of politicians play âRiskâ with the Western Hemisphere.
#CubaIsNotAThreat â the blockade is!
Cubaâs @CarlosFdeCossio pushes back on the declaration that Cuba poses an âunusual and extraordinary threatâ to U.S. nat sec, calling it an âabsurd allegation.â
âAnyone who looks at a country the size of Cuba with a modest economyâŠcanât think that we could become a threat to the most powerful nation on Earth.â
