We're on site, investigating the extent of ash fill encroaching a housing development.

The fill arising from an infilled river valley was missed during the initial site assessment carried out by others and was discovered during foundation excavations.

Trial trenching is used to locate old mine shafts. There is a degree of uncertainty in all historic shaft locations so sometimes they aren't where they're shown on maps.
