All G7 members unanimously agreed to continue providing support to Kyiv while maintaining high pressure on Moscow.

The unity and firmness of the West continue to be, in my view, the most effective tools for creating the necessary conditions for real negotiations.

The goal remains to foster direct meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin. However, while Zelenskyy has demonstrated sincere attitude toward resolving the conflict, no serious signal in this direction has come from Moscow.

21 years ago today, the Blue Lacy dog was made the official State Dog of Texas, when governor Rick Perry signed Texas House Concurrent Resolution no. 108. The resolution points out that the Blue Lacy is a Texas original, being the only dog breed to have originated in the Lone Star State. Blue Lacy's are named for brothers George, Ewin, Frank, and Harry Lacy, who moved to Texas from Kentucky in 1858 and settled in the area of Burnet County. I have known a couple of Blue Lacys and they are awesome dogs. A rancher friend of mine owns one and also a Border Collie and says that the Blue Lacy is just as energetic and just as intelligent as the Border Collie, but also more independent. "Being a Texan, independence just comes natural," he says.

In the temporarily occupied territories, the Russian authorities continue the systematic militarisation of #UkrainianChildren. According to the National Resistance Centre, school principals provide Russian security services and the Russian Ministry of Defence with lists of teenagers who attended military clubs or drone piloting classes. After the end of the school year, graduates are subjected to individual interviews during which they are offered a “career as a UAV operator” and encouraged to join Russian military structures. These practices are part of a broader policy of militarising Ukrainian children in the occupied territories. Under international humanitarian law, the occupying power is obliged to provide children with special protection and may not use the education system as a tool for preparing them for service in its own military structures.
