Using relativistic quantum information to realize qubit-field transduction. PhD (Binghamton University, 02/2024), Postdoc (Air Force Research Lab, current)
@GregTrayling@WKCosmo@Kaju_Nut Im not involved in an exhaustive search, but one big topic in the QIS community was post-selecting classical states from an evaporated black hole as a way to track evolution from an in-falling pair. Imo this doesn't explain much for the information paradox https://t.co/oLLNHI3h3O
@WKCosmo@Kaju_Nut So if I were to write down a channel where I initialize some photons in a pure state and evolve them through a black hole and calculate quantum capacity that capacity calculation (hence unitarity) would not be the same if I treated the state as mixed with respect to the universe.
@Kaju_Nut@WKCosmo Conserve energy so how then do we define the "pure state universe" as pure states conserve energy and likely unitarity. Do we define the pure state as the total expanded universe and currently we are at a mixed state or do we redefine the pure states energy every moment of time?
@Kaju_Nut@WKCosmo This is really nice. I think the "pure state universe" with mixed state subsets is a great way to think of it. My thinking this way is mostly due to the unruh effect because conservation of energy is real. What bothers me mostly is that the expansion of the universe does not...
@WKCosmo@AmericanGwyn Me: okay, we can shoot at each other but only pump once
My older brother: *pumps furiously and charges at me as I scream running away*
I am offering a PhD contract funded by the Spanish PIF2024 programme (old FPI) on quantum sensing with open light-matter systems!⚛️
