Be happy and grateful for where you are, but never settle at where you are. Always stay on the rise!
@pestctrlguy Revenue is an important number, but by itself it doesn't tell the whole story. A company can double its revenue and actually make less money if it's aggressively investing in future growth.
@pestctrlguy As you know, growth costs a lot of money. In many cases, the more growth I am experiencing, the less profitable it is in the short term because so much is being reinvested into recruiting, training, commissions, infrastructure, expansion, marketing, and support.
@pestctrlguy aptive has sued many many reps too. Their hands are very dirty. I personally know people they made go bankrupt for leaving. They have stretched their non solicitation in a shady way. I also have been in depositions with them. Zero respect for them.
@Joshua_the_car This is the way.
If you live the next 10+ years of your life like others won't... you will live the rest of your life like others can't.
@PhilTeichert@pestctrlguy Hard truth, but itβs reality. Bigger businesses are built on delivering strong value and charging accordingly.
I used to be like you man and thought i knew everything. You are going to habe ti chsrge more or you will get capped. Promise...
@Joshua_the_car@imfat People arent willing to sacrifice like you did with comfort etc. They all need their own room with the nicest, newest stuff imaginable.
@jasonqsmith@pestctrlguy Fair question and youβre right, it goes both ways. Wrong hires, and a couple guys who werenβt as committed as they initially presented. Itβs on me for not filtering better.
Point is, stuff happens in business. You adjust, fix it, and move forward, and thatβs exactly what we did.
@pestctrlguy I own 6 offices. 30+ mil/year. Opened market 5 and hired 5 techs beginning of April and all 5 quit overnight mid May. Flew out, ran 30+ jobs/day for 10 days, pulled help from other markets, then rebuilt the team. Ended up way stronger...but in the moment it was frustrating.
