I’m very proud to be endorsed by the UFT for my re-election bid! As a former Chapter Leader, I saw up close the incredible work this union does to support public school educators.
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated JCRC-NY team, the extraordinary NYPD, our great partners at UJA-Federation of New York, and the tens of thousands of New Yorkers who made this year’s Israel Day on Fifth Parade such a tremendous success.
At its core, this parade has always been about people...our pride as Jewish New Yorkers, our enduring connection to our ancestral homeland of Israel, our gratitude for living in the greatest city in the world, New York City, and our belief in a future rooted in security, democracy, coexistence, and peace.
While some individuals who attended were neither invited by JCRC-NY nor known to us in advance, participation in the parade is not an endorsement of any political figure or ideology. We reject rhetoric that dehumanizes others, fuels division, or diminishes the dignity of any human being.
The values that guide our work are respect for every person, support for peace and coexistence, and a commitment to ensuring that every community in New York feels safe, supported, and respected.
Yesterday was a powerful reminder that our community stands strong, proud, and united. The parade was about the people, and it always will be.
Proud to join so many friends in labor and elected officials as we rallied to support @EspaillatNY ! For years I have worked with @EspaillatNY and seen firsthand how he has stood up for his community whether it was working together on the #2020 Census or on labor & worker protection issues.
Congressman @EspaillatNY has delivered real results to improve the lives of New York families. I’m proud to support my friend, and know he’ll continue putting New Yorkers first and being a leading voice for our communities in Congress.
Not quite accurate. According to @nytimes@SallyGold, “Mamdani Vowed to Back Espaillat.”
Challenging incumbents is one thing - going back on your word is another.
I back @EspaillatNY not just because I made a promise, but because he is a stalwart champion for our communities.
To be clear, Espaillat and his supporters cannot clutch pearls over the mayor endorsing against an incumbent. Espaillat ran against Rangel twice, and consistently endorses challengers to incumbents. Mamdani is playing by Espaillat's own rules.
Congrats to the @NewVisionsNYC students for completing their @AuschwitzJCF Fellowship to Combat Hate!
They spent the year learning about Holocaust and civil rights education, civics, and ways to recognize, confront, and prevent antisemitism, racism, and all forms of hate.
Great day in Riverdale! From the Riverdale Y 5K & Fun Run, to our free paper shredding event, to the Riverdale Block Party Festival, it was wonderful connecting with neighbors and supporting our community all weekend long.
Our new contract ensures hotel workers will have the best wages and benefits in the country, and delivers life-changing financial stability to the 30,000 members who are the backbone of the hospitality industry. This is an extraordinary victory for hotel workers, the industry, and all of New York City.

To all the privacy buffs, collectors, hoarders, sentimentalists, minimalists, junk-drawer lovers, amateur archivists, and declutterers, good morning!
The Shreddersaurus will be here in Woodlawn until 12:00.
Thank you @JeffreyDinowitz@jamaaltbailey@bronxbp@RitchieTorres
Right - absolutely despicable. This is a direct attack on Jewish life on campus.
@TheNewSchool must not allow the student senate to be weaponized to target their Jewish population.
Despicable news.
NYC’s @TheNewSchool student senate has voted to suspend Hillel’s funding & collaboration.
Hillel is the center of Jewish life on campus.
Not a word, of course, from NYC’s “antisemitism czar” @phylisajoy who appears to be on a perpetual “listening tour” serving as Mamdani’s official token Jew.
This week, it was reported that Jewish New Yorkers were subjected to vile antisemitism at a prominent Brooklyn institution …conduct that likely violates state and local human rights laws and warrants public attention and a response from your administration, including the NYC Commission on Human Rights.
Yet I have not seen a word from City Hall about that incident.
Leadership in New York requires the ability to show up consistently for all communities, especially when hate targets them here at home.
Foundational to advancing any mayoral agenda is ensuring that New Yorkers of every background feel seen, heard, and protected by their mayor, which includes Jewish New Yorkers.
This veto is a failure for our children.
Our children deserve to enter and leave school without fear or intimidation. Full Stop.
When a school is forced to close early because it can’t secure its perimeter during a protest, something is broken. This happened just a few months ago in Queens.
That’s why common sense legislation like the bill put forward by @EricDinowitzNYC isn’t optional - it’s essential to protecting our children while also protecting freedom to protest.
This is an important bill for police transparency and accountability. Protesting is a fundamental right but our schools and religious institutions must be protected as well. We want to make sure that every child in every neighborhood is protected.
🚨‼️ RARE rebuke from major Jewish organizations of Mayor Mamdani’s expected veto of the schools protest safety bill (175-B):
"This veto is a profound failure of City Hall to demonstrate to all New Yorkers that our safety is a priority."

Thank you @urbanassembly and @DAdams_SEL for having me at their SEL Symposium. Social and emotional learning is crucial to future career success. Proud to be your partner!
So honored to be stepping into the role of Political Director at @NYHTC!
Working alongside this team has already brought some of the most meaningful partnerships and wins of my career, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue fighting for our members.
