I have fond memories when I remember Bob Horner!

When I was 13 years old living in Greenville, South Carolina, our family had planned a trip to visit my aunt and uncle in Atlanta that weekend. We had tickets to see the Braves and the Pirates that Saturday night. We left for Atlanta Friday early evening from Greenville and as we were approaching the Atlanta Metro area, my dad tells me as we had the game on the radio, hey the Braves drafted a new player and his first game is tonight. He’s supposed to be really good. He went straight from college to the pros. He hardly got that out of his mouth and Bob Horner in his first MLB game hit a home run!!!! I’ll never forget that and was so excited to go to the game the next day to see Bob Horner play. Good memories, good times!
