@cyclingmole The UCI should oblige a race with WT status to have at least 2h of live coverage. It´s crazy that in 2026 Dauphiné is still on the same limited schedule. Even Tour San Juan had better coverage. Only team able to control today is Trek so prepare for carnage.
@HenningDaniels2@pfallebo@cyclingmole Lemond and Pog´s Tour wins both came with ITTa on the last day of racing, a TTT would be impossible so late due to dropouts. Zakarin also won a Romandie with a last stage ITT.
@cyclingmole What were the pre race odds on Tuckwell winning? If his team can manage the next couple of days without 2 riders then he has a really good chance of taking this.
@cyclingmole When your TT is shit and you know it, invest in 80kg rouleurs to brute force a break and pray it is cold and wet. Alexander Kristoff must be behind this strategy.
@cyclingmole I´d have to put Pog, MVDP and Lemond above those 3, although technically I didn´t see them race because it was at the start. They are better all rounders and have won bigger events and non of them has been in a doping scandal - yet.
@cyclingmole Not a problem if they keep everyone happy. Some teams like FDJ and Movistar aren´t able to manage even 2 co leaders without one spitting the dummy and they got KOM, a top 5 and a stage at the Giro, way more than Red Bull did. Let´s see how the A team goes in the Tour.
@cyclingmole To be fair, the Picnic Post franchise has made its name from selling riders after one breakout performance and probably survives thanks to that.
@cyclingmole Astana should have taken Gonev and Syritsa or at least one of them to help Malucelli. Bettiol and Livyns have no form to speak of and Lopez will lose 6 minutes in the ITT although he could be good in breaks.
@Berezinafr@LeGruppetto Bora have the money to pay Picnic (6 guys), BH, Total and a few others who have no chance of winning to help out. This makes the race a lot more interesting.
@Trudgin@velogames It was Mick and Askey, however if the official timing is doesn´t get amended the day of the race then I guess we have to go with that, same as when doping or other penalties are issued after the cut off. PCS has had many mistakes itself in the past.
@BrrClement@velogames And if they signed on with the wrong race number then I don´t know if that is grounds for a DSQ or just a fine, the scope for identical siblings gaming the system is huge if it is just a fine!
Yes, this is a tricky one as the official timekeeper´s results should be the final source of info. If they are still showing Tim in that position by 23h tonight then I think that would have to be the final standings.
@velogames Yeah now I think about it WVA countered that move. Hagenes was also in a break but I think it got caught before the key kms for points and Brennan got dropped along with TLA a bit later.
