Why don't any of the characters in any of these shows or movies do anything about the cobwebs? Literally, just a broom and a dust mop would fix the place up and make it nice. I want to see a vampire or ghost who takes pride in where they live for once.

I have been watching a bunch of "Halloween/vampire/ghost etc" shows and movies with my wife lately and I have noticed something, the residents of the big spooky houses all hate dusting. Everything had fallen into some level of disrepair.
