In just 5 minutes, here is what you need to do 👇
#PythDYK : In ancient Delphi, different oracles were used for communicating with gods, including divination from non-living things like trees
However, these only provided binary yes/no responses. Pythia was more complex and could provide detailed wisdom
Pyth Network is able to deliver real-time prices in volatile real-time 24/7 markets with a confidence interval. We think the Pythia would be proud
Did you know you can earn Mainnet $QUAI tokens by participating in the Quai Network @Galxe space?

🔍While looking for more info about @PythNetwork🔮on their website, I discovered my favorite platform @tradingview was working with my favorite oracle !
I didn’t even know it ! Crypto is full of surprise 😍
You don't know what @tradingview is ? ⬇️
Basically, let's imagine you want to check the chart of an asset, you can go straight to @tradingview because you'll find it there 💹
Moreover, you can manage charts with a lot of tools and find many interesting analysis about every existing assets 📰
5⃣@PythNetwork is a centralized entity ⇒ ✅
It’s currently centralized, however it will move to a permissionless mainnet governed by a token this year ! It’s still time to join Discord and participate to shape Pyth future 🤓
6⃣@PythNetwork is great ⇒ ❎
It's AMAZING 🚀
I saw a lot of misunderstanding about @PythNetwork 🔮last few weeks, here some of the main misconceptions I saw 😵
1⃣Pull model is the same than Push model ⇒ ❎
Pull model allows protocols to get data permisionneless and at low frequency (= means that it is very fast ⚡️)
4⃣Wormhole has already been hacked, it will happen again ⇒ ❎
Unhappily a lot of projects can/will suffer hacks, however there are not so many projects that did as many audits as Wormhole 🔐
Legacy oracles’ solutions are not scalable.
They periodically push prices to every chain. This is expensive!
Let’s say you want to deliver many different price feeds to each chain. All of those transactions have a cost (gas). Even worse, you need to constantly push these price feeds to meet customer demand.
That becomes extremely expensive. What this means is you have to make sacrifices in your product. You either restrict the number of price feeds you offer, or you lower the update frequency, or choose not to support some chains.
Either option means your product is suboptimal.
So @pythnetwork came up with a better solution: the pull oracle. Stream signed prices off-chain that can be verified on-chain. Anyone can permissionlessly pull a Pyth price on-chain when they need it. No gas fees for Pyth, so the protocol is more scalable than legacy oracle solutions.
Just look at the numbers:
Chainlink: Price feeds update based on “trigger parameters” that can be anywhere from 15 minutes to hours! This is for up to 175 assets across 16 chains, but support depends on your chain. More feeds on Ethereum mainnet, less on smaller chains.
Pyth Network: Price feeds update every 400 milliseconds for 300 assets across 30 chains.
