Every transaction on the Acki Nacki network requires SHELLs as a network fee. To get SHELLs, you need USDC. That USDC doesn't disappear — it accumulates into the price of NACKL 💸

In simple terms: every NACKL you hold is accumulating the value of all USDC ever used to buy SHELLs

And here's the key part — this applies to every fee in the network, not just DODEX trading:

This is coming — and it will change the way online games are played. I believe that in a few years, all competitive board games will run on Acki Nacki. I’ve said it before; now it’s time to do it.

Next week, we’re releasing our first competitive board game. It will run on Bee Engine (so you can mine by playing it). It will run in real-time multiplayer mode on the blockchain (only Acki Nacki can do this). After running some tests it will include a built-in prediction market on https://t.co/vnEKzYDlMX, so you can bet on your own games and on other people’s games in real time (!) while playing (!!). And it will prevent match-fixing (!!!) using the rating system Nikita and I are developing. It will also detect and punish cheaters in real time — within a fixed number of matches — with probability close to 1 (patent pending).

And that’s not all. Prize money for rating-based tournaments will come from the prediction market itself. The idea is that this can grow prize pools for top-level players far beyond what’s possible today in sports like chess.

The network has been successfully updated. The first miner application is now being updated as well to start the Bee Engine Mining. We expect first version of Bee Engine documentation released later today so developers can start working including Bee Engine mining in their apps

May be a few words about the deep tech we’re coding right now—just so you don’t think it’s all about apps.

The core team is working on a new state implementation. At the moment we use a modified TON Virtual Machine (TVM) because it’s the only VM that supports asynchronous execution, which lets us do multithreading — a cornerstone of Acki Nacki scalability. Unfortunately, TVM is painfully slow and has a huge problem with how it persists state. Almost like the EVM. Both basically suck.

The quick fix we shipped before mainnet was adding a TVM instruction, run_wasm, which spins up a WASM execution environment. We hardened it and made it fully deterministic. WASM is extremely fast—it runs close to native x86 speed (in our case the overhead is around a single-digit percent). That let us write parts of smart contracts in Rust. But two problems remain: it still has to be called from TVM, and state is still stored using TVM data structures.

Now comes the next phase: getting rid of TVM state and adding messaging directly to WASM. That’s what we’re doing now. The first version has to be ready before DODEX starts. Once it’s done, the whole Acki Nacki stack will run at near-native speeds on the server hardware it runs on—making it, effectively, decentralized cloud infrastructure.

And then I can make this ridiculous statement: if any blockchain runs faster than Acki Nacki, I promise to burn every NACKL I own at that time—if they do the same. Let’s see if all those “fast and scalable” networks can put their money where their mouth is.

The upgrade is large. It must wait for 100% of nodes because of the new network upgrade system. That’s why it takes longer. From Monday to Monday basically. Here are all the changes:

•Protocol version introduced
•Rolling network upgrade supported: when majority of nodes are updated to the new version the network protocol is automatically switched to the new version
•Mobile Verifiers Miner subsystem which provides on-chain support for mining and computation verification performed using the on-chain Bee Engine backend. The subsystem is application-agnostic and can be integrated into any application
•HTTPS supported for BM, BK APIs
•Graceful shutdown supported in BM
•BM upgrade scripts
•Support of Gosh provider in TLS wasm binary
•Preflight handler for graphql server
•Versioning introduced in BM
•Guide how to migrate BK to between server machines
