This is real. And it’s North Dakota taxpayer dollars, not federal money.

The Global Talent Office Grant Program was created by SB 2142, sponsored by ND lawmakers and signed by @DougBurgum before he left office. Judging by @Armstrong_ND’s post last week, he’s fully on board with continuing it. Traitorous TBH

North Dakota needs workers. Fine. Then why not put the real money into keeping our own kids here? The minimal, pitiful, and essentially fake incentives efforts we have in place are clearly not working as 65% of our kids are still leaving after graduation. Yet we don’t even attempt to ramp things up or try new ways? At minimum, why wouldn’t we just expand some incentives to other states if the local efforts truly still fail? Instead, we go all out and throw money at importing foreigners?

This program is built to fund, recruit, retain, and integrate foreign born workers here in ND and only foreign born…It has no hard cap, and it’s funded far more heavily than anything we’re pretending to do to keep local kids working in North Dakota or even other US states, as they’re all excluded and not eligible for this. If it was about maximizing the amount of workers to attract why would we exclude anyone? That tells you everything you need to know about what this really is about.

North Dakotans are footing the bill to import labor and to increase our housing costs, and to decrease our wages. Likely increase our taxes too since the majority of these imports will end up on at least some form of welfare as always.

And the few young people who actually want to stay here to work after school? Well…they’ll have to compete with workers the state is paying to help move in.

This may be one of the most consequential workforce policies in state history, yet most people still don’t even know it exists.

So-called American companies say they have no choice but to use the H-1B program because they “can’t find Americans for these jobs.”

Here’s the ugly truth: they’re not even looking for Americans. They refuse to interview them. They hide job postings in obscure newspapers to “check the box,” and when no one “applies,” they import another foreign worker—denying yet another qualified American a job, a wage, and the dignity and purpose that come with both.

It’s disgraceful. It’s time to finally and fully dismantle the H-1B scam.

Just to make you all more annoyed, it is also worth noting that early Lutherans (and especially Luther) sometimes speak in almost absolute terms about the magistrate's ability to control temporal life. Luther blatantly says on multiple occasions that your possessions belong to the emperor.

It is also true that as far as I can tell, Confessional Lutherans rejected social contract theory well into the nineteenth century, and speak pretty disparagingly about Adam Smith and modern Capitalism more generally. In response to Marx, a number of Confessional Lutherans argued for (a strongly anti-Marxist) Christian Socialism. This is especially true in Denmark.

Oh, and they all reject usury, which is basically at the heart of our whole economy.

My point is that historical realities don't often fit into our neatly divided contemporary political debates.

I have no illusions about ANTIFA. They are a terrorist organization by any reasonable definition—they cultivate fear from which they derive power.

BUT I don’t want ANTIFA declared a terrorist organization by the executive branch, because the post 9/11 definition of ‘terrorism’ isn’t reasonable at all. It is now a magic legal term loophole that, once applied, obliterates a person’s constitutional rights.

And the executive can apply it to anyone, with no court review. Don’t forget, the DHS declared mis, dis and malinformation terrorism during Covid. That’s mistakes, lies and truths-that-make-the-government-look-bad—all were declared terrorism, for a reason. The reason was to empower the government to do unconstitutional things to anyone who didn’t agree with their bullshit.

If we allow this toolkit to be used on ANTIFA, that legitimizes it. And next time it is likely to be pointed at us.

I oppose the FCC threatening ABC but not for libertarian or moral reasons. I oppose it strictly on strategic grounds. It’s a bad idea. We were already destroying Kimmel, no need to have the refs cheat now. It only gives the liberal media class a boost of energy.

I would morally and on libertarian grounds oppose the government pressuring a company to fire a comedian for telling a joke, no matter how awful or inaccurate the joke was.

That’s not what this is. Jimmy Kimmel stopped being a comedian years ago. He became a regime mouth piece willingly and knowingly. He is part of the cathedral.

This is closer to the CIA feuding with the FBI. It’s two criminal elements of the regime fighting, both of whom are enemies of liberty.
