Thanks to Kevin Thompson and his team for hosting us for lunch at the Middle Tennessee AgResearch & Education Center. Great fellowship with our friends at the @UTIAg. Exciting work in entomology that will be beneficial for the future of agriculture.
Great week in Washington, D.C., with fellow Farm Bureau presidents. Appreciated the opportunity to hear from USDA Deputy Sec. Stephen Vaden, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and other leaders discussing the future of American agriculture. Proud to represent Tennessee's farm families.
No doubt, I am proud to be a Tennessean. Seeing Tennessee on display at the Great American State Fair makes me even prouder. Special time to be in Washington, D.C. to see Tennessee and agriculture in the spotlight.
Fired up the grill today to show a little appreciation for our friends at @FBHealthPlans. Thank you for your dedication to serving Farm Bureau members across Tennessee.
Lynn and I enjoyed attending the Farm to Fair Feast and Fundraiser this evening hosted by our friends at the @TNAgriculture. Always proud to support our youth in agriculture!
97 of Tennessee’s top agriculture students spent this week at the Tennessee Leadership Summit on the @UT_Herbert campus. They could’ve spent their summer anywhere, but they chose to invest in their leadership and the future of agriculture. That’s something to be proud of.
Proud to stand by @GovBillLee as he signed the Regulatory Freedom Act into law! This legislation is a step toward a more transparent and accountable government for all Tennesseans.
Tennessee’s farmers are the best in the country.
I was honored to meet with the Tennessee Farm Bureau today to hear directly about their priorities for the next couple of years.
As a State Senator, I carried and supported legislation to support farmers, including sponsoring a commonsense law to reduce wetlands regulations to protect our family farms.
Other bills I sponsored and/or supported include:
- Crop Protection Legislation
- Farmland Preservation
- Voted to ban state-wide property taxes
- Clarifying the Authority of the State Veterinary
- Regulatory Freedom Act
Tennessee farmers know I’ll have their back in Congress, just like I had their back in the State Senate. They can rest assured I’m a fighter who wins!
I will listen and support our farmers to Take Tennessee to the Top!
Great evening celebrating the Pinnacle Award with Farm Bureau members in Overton Co. Congratulations for receiving the highest honor a county can earn. I’m always thankful for the dedication and hard work at the county level that drives the success of our organization.
Appreciated the opportunity to join Zippy Duvall and fellow state Farm Bureau presidents for a conversation with Undersecretary Dudley Hoskins about issues impacting TN agriculture and poultry producers. Glad Todd Littleton and David Parham could join the discussion as well.
Enjoyed attending the Middle Tennessee FFA Awards Banquet last night and recognizing the accomplishments of these outstanding students. The future of agriculture is bright with leaders like these stepping up across Tennessee.
Always a pleasure to spend time with our Farm Bureau colleagues. Thank you to @MSFarmBureau for hosting the Southern Region Presidents and Administrators Conference this week. Great to catch up with friends, share ideas, and learn more about Mississippi agriculture.
Today and every day farmers celebrate #EarthDay. From caring for the land, air, and water to producing the food and fiber we all depend on, farmers are committed to being good stewards of the resources entrusted to them.

It was a great day in East Tennessee visiting the operations of our two newest Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation board members — Colton McClanahan and Sherri Lay. I always appreciate the chance to see firsthand the dedication and hard work that goes into these operations.

This morning's Mule Day Breakfast was a great reminder of the pride, history, and community that make Columbia home. Honored to celebrate Mule Day alongside so many familiar faces. Happy Mule Day!
@TNFarmBureau has a long history of supporting cattle producers across the state, and this facility has allowed us to do just that for many years. Tennessee Livestock Producers has had the Fayetteville barn since 1972, with United Producers Inc. managing it since October of 2020.
