Two rides at Thorpe Park, including the brand new Hyperia, broke down at the same time yesterday on the hottest Bank Holiday Monday on record.
Riders were left stranded 200 feet up at the apex of Hyperia for around 30 minutes in 33°C heat, before the ride was eventually restarted.
A second ride at the park also went down simultaneously, leaving visitors stuck mid-ride during the peak of the heatwave. Hope everyone got down safely and got a free fastpass out of it.

Guy throws a roundhouse kick.
Girl holding the pads doesn't quite get them up in time.
BOOM...
Lights out instantly.
This is exactly why pad work isn't a cute date activity.
