@allisonnorris I'm sure. However in my many years of doing this job I have seen victims who didn't actually want to be victims. Innocent people forced with violence, threats, and intimidation, who don't choose to be victims because of money when there's still plenty of under the table work.
@allisonnorris Sounds like your clients are looking for U visas. In my years of investigative experience I have not run into this situation. We do come across a fair number of victims who believed initially that they were legal immigrants with the traffickers handling their cases.
@allisonnorris Fair point on EADs which by the way are the jurisdiction of USCIS. I didn't want to presume knowledge of smuggling vs trafficking especially since you're a lawyer, my experience with DAs, defense, and even judges over the years has not impressed me much.
@allisonnorris Unlike drugs and guns, which you lose when you sell them, you can sell a person over and over again. It's slavery, just like the Democrats fought a war for in the 1800s. These victims aren't necessarily immigrants or illegal immigrants.
@MackenzieLevy@allisonnorris Yeah no, I've been through USCIS and they are the nicest people I've ever met in my life, in any country, job, anything. Stop spreading lies.
@allisonnorris At the state level, we also have something similar. Every time I stop a driver who is associated with any leftist cause, he gets as many tickets as legally justifiable. Absolutely no warnings. I call it the commie tax.
