@PaulFromPC Absolutely loved watching you play. I recently just left Smite after 10+ years and haven't looked back, the game just isn't the same as it used to be. If you still have the MOBA itch Deadlock has had me addicted the past 6 months and it really is as good as everyone says!!!
@ChrisTDickson@TheSmiteGOAT I played Smite for 10 years and now I play deadlock. I wouldn’t say it’s stolen players as much as people just left Smite, but it’s without a doubt a MOBA
@Ah___Puch Only MOBA without it. Also counter building feels so good. Seeing someone do something and recognizing that to buy a solution directly shutting it down is half the reason MOBAs are so fun
@SoloOrTroll@ssuhlayer I dislike how aspects effect drafting. When everything flexes 2-3+ roles it makes counter picks and matchups way less interesting like they are in League and were in Smite 1
@Inbowned As a 10 year smite player I’ve been playing league for my moba kick lately because I just can’t get on board with smite 2 anymore (after almost 1k hours), I’d love an excuse to get on/watch smite 1
@BIackEyeSMITE It felt more like a MOBA. Towers and objectives were hard to kill, items felt really powerful, gods had clear weaknesses and the game had more of a skill gap between good and bad players. Smite 2 feels more like a casual arena shooter type game than a deeply complex MOBA
@Th3JimmyP@SSGELLEON Simply because noob players wouldn’t buy it against healers and lose. Every moba has anti-heal but Smite 2 is trying to be very casual friendly (in my opinion to a fault)
@SSGELLEON Completely agree. I fundamentally dislike lots of the changes: aspects, item shop, hitboxes and lane teleporters as some examples. Been playing other games but would gladly go back to Smite 1 if they gave it some new updates
@davion505@SMITEGame It’s one opinion of someone played in lots of competitive community leagues for years, I certainly don’t speak for everyone. I think they tried to make S2 new like a Deadlock then walked it back. Now Id rather it just be a full port with graphics upgrade, the game “feels” worse
@davion505@SMITEGame Anyway that’s not to say they won’t change some of this stuff in the future, it just feels less competitive and moba-y. I’m having lots of fun learning league so the passion is still there, S2 just doesn’t scratch the itch S1 did (and I’d gladly go back to S1 if they revived it)
@davion505@SMITEGame A few examples: uncapped stats. It felt like fitting pieces into a puzzle box. What cooldown items give me the most value without capping? Now just get them all. Less theory. And the items feel weak. Every item has 2ish stats and doesn’t feel like a power spike like it did before
@TitanClumzy Please consider lethality from league. Flat pen is sorely missed and if it scales than it isn’t so oppressive early and can still have the intended effect of killing backliners late.
