@UHC United Healthcare I waited a week for a peer to peer on a complicated case. I was finally connected with a NP who told me no matter what I said the request would be denied as it is off label. How is this a peer to peer? This is just a rejection I waited a week to hear.

I remember as a medical student, a certain EMR was being launched in a hospital in which I was rotating. The EMR roll-out team was hosting a session with the doctors, explaining how the latest update added just a few clicks here and made things just a few seconds slower there.

There were groans and consternation. The EMR representative couldn't understand why doctors were getting upset at just a few more clicks here and there.

That was 14 years ago. I have had many more interactions with people who control how EMR functions. I'm still waiting for a meeting where they talk about clicks they've eliminated.

Things that may increase risk of burn out:
- Expiring passwords
- Two factor authentication
- Secure emails
- Sharepoint sites that email access codes
