the first step to being A Good Father is being present
find a way to be present...make the game, ask about a day, walk together, listen to a long ramble about randomness when you wish they'd get to the point
your engagement is an electric charge for their hearts
#fatherhood
the real alchemy is to take dark energy (your hurts, wounds, rejections, and the fear in the world) and flip it to light (healing, hope, encouragement, peace, grace, strength). You'll need help, and you can do it. You got this.
it is not always hard things that break free
the persistence of beauty is its own strength. dare to shine in the face of struggle

@jonrobertgibson down memory lane today-told my kids they need to hear your voice! Re-listening to Jesus Loves Ya, & Forever Friends. Man it brings me back. SFC/ Sup the Chemist was big for me too. Love your vocals on As the Sun Rises
Cheers & God Bless. Thanks for some good memories for me
@FathomEnt Wow sounds like an inspiring story.
Not every father stays is a theme Strong Like Wildflowers deals with in hopeful and inspiring ways as well

I lied to apple, google and microsoft about my children’s ages to maintain parental controls. It seemed like an obvious hack to me.
All of my children are well adjusted, have a clear sense of self, serve their communities with generosity and have zero identity confusion
Funny how that works when parents, not the matrix, raise their children
It is possible. Just don’t let the machine dictate the rules
*Real strength only exists /IN/ humility (no blue check - can't edit the typo)
...
Escape the bondage of pride and embrace the power of releasing fear-based thinking
Some believe to apologize is to admit weakness & become less
This is backwards
Real strength only exists humility. It is cowardice which holds people in the chains of never being able to ask forgiveness or right a wrong
Strong people make ammends and show courage in doing so
If someone won’t see you and honor you, better to lose that relationship than to betray yourself. Being generous and gracious is not the same as being a doormat.
It stings to lose people, but it will be far more damaging to lose yourself
We repeat cycles of brokenness or we break them. Each has a choice.
A 🧵
My great grandfather, my grandfather, and my dad all disappeared from their families in one way or another.
There was one key common theme among them...
7/ That is the story of Strong Like Wildflowers. Dealing with rejection & abandonment & being strong enough, & beautiful enough to heal entire bloodlines & the world around us. You can do it! And it's going to take bravery, love, and power above your-self

6/ Those who reject others to pursue self, are diving into wells of narcissism. A water which leaves both self & others parched.
While those who see, care for, & commit to others, create waters which flow for generations & which fill souls...
