Earlier today, the audits @RepWittke and I ordered as co-chairs of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee to investigate so-called "diversity, equity, and inclusion" initiatives in Wisconsin's state government and the Universities of Wisconsin were released to the public.
The results of these reports show us the extent to which DEI grifters profiteer off Wisconsin taxpayers with very little to show for it. Wisconsin should not tolerate, much less propagate, race-based discrimination masquerading as equality in its halls of government.
Thanks to these findings, we can now more clearly see how DEI wastefully spends taxpayer dollars, and end it for good.
By raising tuition and student housing rates, UW is only passing the growing bill for its massive bureaucracy to Wisconsin families and students.
There's no reason to raise rates when UW can - and should - cut through its administrative bloat to create a more valuable student experience.

Happy National Dairy Month, Wisconsin!
We wouldn't be America's Dairyland without all of the hard work our dairy farmers do to bring us fresh milk, cheese curds, and so much more.
Heads up, UTV drivers: some new rule changes will go into effect June 1.
Read up on these regulations before you hit the trails.

Great to see these new developments at the Green Bay Police Department.
Excited to welcome these new officers to our community, and congratulations to Sergeants Hennig and Skenandore for their promotions!

Happy 178th birthday, Wisconsin! Today in 1848, Wisconsin became the 30th state to join these United States.
From our 13-time world champion Green Bay Packers to our hardworking dairy farms and businesses, let's celebrate everything that makes Wisconsin great.
"They believe that somehow putting money back into people's pockets that are struggling financially ... apparently they don't believe that's an issue."
Gov. Tony Evers on the 15 Senate Dems who voted against tax relief deal in his first interview
THE IVIEW SUN ON UPFRONT...
The office looked a little different today!
Had a great time suiting up for the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin's Fire Ops 101 program, where I got to experience some of the on-the-job challenges that Wisconsin's firefighters and EMTs face every day.
Going through these simulations made me even more grateful for all of the work Northeast Wisconsin's first responders do to protect our communities.
80% of Wisconsin adults support the Legislature's deal with Governor Evers to return the budget surplus to the people through property tax relief, rebate checks, and tax cuts for veterans.
The Senate Democrats who killed our deal aren't just wrong on policy - they're out of touch with the needs of Wisconsinites.
Today on Memorial Day, I'm thinking of the sacrifices of the men and women of our armed forces who didn't return home.
We will always honor their memory and remember that all gave some, but some gave all.
Race- and sex-based discrimination have no place in society, much less in our federal government's policies.
Great to see @WILawLiberty's work is restoring fairness and ending government-sponsored discrimination against Wisconsin's hardworking farmers.

Proud to have delivered $20 million in our state budget to redevelop the Port of Green Bay with my colleague @RepBenFranklin.
Revitalizing the Port will chart Brown County on a path to greater commerce and reinforce Northeast Wisconsin's place in the global economy.
I voted to return Wisconsin's budget surplus to you, the taxpayers, because it belongs to the taxpayers.
The Legislature had a deal with Governor Evers to provide property tax relief, rebate checks, and tax cuts for our veterans.
Yet Senate Democrats unanimously opposed this compromise, and voted to keep the surplus in Madison.

It's always a great day when a school group from Northeast Wisconsin visits the Capitol.
Thanks to the students, parents, and teachers from Hobart's Hillcrest Elementary in the @pcsd for stopping by yesterday!
Proud to celebrate student-athlete Mariah Wondra from Bonduel High School for all her successes in and out of the classroom, including recently being named a Spectrum Scholar Athlete.
Congratulations on all your hard work, Mariah! Go Bears!

New York is now the 30th state to enter the bipartisan federal tax credit scholarship program created by President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, which would allow taxpayers to claim up to $1,700 in a federal tax credit when they donate to support public or private students' education.
Despite these funds coming at no cost to our state budget, Wisconsin students won't be able to access them.
Why? Because our "education governor" Tony Evers shortsightedly vetoed our bill to join this program.

Wisconsinites are losing out on:
π° Rebate checks
π Property tax relief
πͺ Tax cuts for veterans
βοΈ Disaster relief funding
π΅ No tax on tips and overtime
All because Senate Democrats killed our tax relief deal with Governor Evers to return the budget surplus to you.
Wisconsin students continue to suffer under Superintendent Underly's poor leadership at the Department of Public Instruction.
I led the Audit Committee to order an investigation of why she lowered school success standards to cover over her failures at DPI.
This audit report will be released soon so we can bring an end to this meddling in our schools.

Late Wednesday night, Senate Democrats voted to keep Wisconsin's budget surplus rather than return it to the taxpayers.
This effectively killed property tax relief for homeowners, sending rebate checks to taxpayers, and fixing Superintendent Underly's blunder at calculating school aids.
Legislative Democrats are more concerned with hoarding these surplus dollars to fund their far-left agenda than they are with delivering relief to Wisconsin's middle-class families.
The budget surplus should go back to taxpayers because it belongs to them. I'll continue to push to get the surplus back in your hands, despite resistance from Democrats.
