Excited to announce that JSeyff and I have a new book coming out this fall called "Both Sides of the Coin" which is available for pre-order now. We thought it was time for a fresh look at bitcoin/crypto post-ETF and sought to write a fair and balanced book for everyday TradFiShow

What a headline 🤣

[J.C. Parets @JC_ParetsX]

There are people who hate the President of the U.S. so much that they’ve actually been rooting for the stock market to fall just so they can say, “I told you so.” A lot of these sociopaths work in media, on basic cable or write for newspapers. Just know who you’re listening to.

[E Balchunas @Eric_Bailchunas]

That filing was another thing covered in upcoming Both Sides of Coin book. Even pointing out how dismissive and condescending some of the media coverage was (for an idea that would go on to break every imaginable ETF record). Like I said we kept receipts..

Winklevoss just filed for a Zcash ETF exactly 13yrs after dropping the first-ever filing for spot bitcoin ETF. Welcome back tyler & cameron

Interesting: Betterment is waiving its platform fee through the end of 2028 for new Fidelity RIA firms that add Betterment as a custodian. Fidelity recently raised minimums on advisors.

WisdomTree is choosin’ Texas (exchange) for one of its ETFs.

Someone referred to the little guy as TipToe. Perfectly eery. That’s what the movie should be called.

[E Balchunas @Eric_Bailchunas]

At this point they should just make a full length movie about this creepy little guy à la how Backrooms (which was great) was made off of a creepy picture posted to a message board. Should hire a young indie horror director and use the old 70s style film stock. I’d watch that.

[Mister Fingerbanger @FeloniousJTrump]

Here is the full length creepy Rumplestiltskin video - it is NOT from an old movie, it's AI generated by a Russian woman on Instagram, which makes it even creepier.

pump this SI-generated video directly into my veins

The unemployment rates has been below 5% for 61 straight months. The record is 64 straight months from the 1960s.

[E Balchunas @Eric_Bailchunas]

Love it. Great tune. Lot of people think I say “Thunderdome” which is Mad Max (which also works) but I’m def referencing Public Enemy. The vibe in the song is so distinct, what I imagine an indie ETF wholesaler must feel like. Here’s a clip ICYI. Whole album is spectacular.

WSJ taking somewhat negative slant on this. Not sure I get why (altho I do get why). Would you want your kid to be able to receive stock donations from super rich people? would you want your kid to get some shares or no?

[The Wall Street Journal @WSJ]

Trump Accounts look entirely different after the Treasury Department turned on auto-enrollment and enabled stock donations. https://t.co/3b1UeYRc5f

I personally have come to conclusion that this particular program is best (and perhaps last chance) way to tackle wealth gap problem (as so much of it is caused by the stock mkt) and diminish the growing appeal of socialist politicians.

[E Balchunas @Eric_Bailchunas]

THESIS/PREDICTION: I've thought about this for a while and have come to the conclusion that Warren Buffett et al could/should choose Trump Accounts as the destination for donating their stock shares. This would kill multiple birds with one stone:
1. Immediately shrink wealth gap

Brazil ETF $EWZ took in $700m yesterday, biggest one day flow in the ETF’s 25yr history on the country’s potential shift to political center/right. Volume yesterday was a record too. The 12% one day gain was a top 10 day and huge outlier but not a record.

[E Balchunas @Eric_Bailchunas]

VOLUME EXPLOSION: The Brazil ETF $EWZ did $8b in volume today, by far a record since its launch 25yrs ago. Also was #3 among ETFs after $SPY and $QQQ. The last record it set was the last time a Bolsonaro was elected in 2018.

Also AIG at #2 is interesting. Basically a bunch of legacy value managers bought it incl Putnam, Tweedy, T Rowe, Oakmark

[E Balchunas @Eric_Bailchunas]

Interesting.. Gentherm $THRM has shot up to the top of our Blue Horseshoe score.. rare for such a small name to be that high, $1b mkt cap (and no BI analyst covering). It had 11 active ETFs initiate a position and 0 sold. FrancisSharoon
