@metspolice@UniWatch I have to say, the long tail on the M that plagued their jerseys for a while is way better than this part of the E creeping onto the other side/on top of the piping. Horrible.
@metspolice And if the City Connect is black it leave the option open for the blue road alt to come back since the Nike rule is 4 regular plus 1 City Connect, which is why they had to get rid of the road alt in 2022.
@metspolice They’re scheduled to get their City Connect jerseys this year. My guess is that will be black and replace the black from the last couple of years and this will be the hat that matches it.
@UniWatch @POLITICO_Steve It’s clear at this point that Senga and Verlander prefer the blue when they pitch. And maybe overall it has something to do with the lack of a road alt, so they’re making the most of blue at home?
@metspolice@UniWatch Not a good sign… black jersey and background in the lineup graphic. They usually only do that when they’re wearing black that night…
@patricklaveryNJ @kingofdbrittons@NYMhistory@mikepiazza31@UniWatch I remember seeing that once but completely forgot about it! So weird! Plus they wore the blue caps on the road a few times, which they didn't do after 1998 (except for the one game at Yankee Stadium in 2008), so definitely a transitional year.
@metspolice The fears are coming true. Look behind Scherzer from after game 1… black jersey. Plus the @Mets posted tonight’s lineup in black. Last time I checked it’s not Friday. Not good.
@UberEats Estimate of 25-30 min ordering from a place that prepares quickly. 1 hr 13 min later the food comes. Useless customer support that’s only good at reading a script bc nothing can be done since it was still within the arbitrary guaranteed time frame. Absolutely insane.
@StevenACohen2 Since 81 games in gray was kind of boring last year and you're not allowed to have a road alt since that would be too many in the rotation, any chance we can get the home blue alts on the road occasionally this year? Looks good enough during Spring Training...
@metspolice There’s a chance the building would be full since Al’s a local guy… he could probably fill a lot of seats himself. But you’re totally right. And you can say the same about plenty of guys in the team’s HOF. Doesn’t take away how good he was for a few years on some good teams.
@metspolice Back in 99 I had a Leiter jersey (probably because I was 12 and it was on sale). But still, as a member of Generation (pre-maga) Piazza, I feel like Leiter is absolutely deserving of being in the Mets Hall of Fame.
@Alsboringtweets Super disappointing to hear that the podcast's also going to be broken into clips. It's annoying being subscribed (@EvanRobertsWFAN's podcast's the same) bc if you're listening to the full show the others still get downloaded & you have to go through & delete.
@HowieRose I'm really enjoying how often they're wearing the blue jerseys. I normally would be concerned with the frequency, but since there's no road alt this year, it's nice to at least have some more color at home.
@milicki2g@Alsboringtweets But they specifically were talking about Sandals regardless of that. And I absolutely hate beaches and avoided it while there almost the whole time.
@Alsboringtweets My wife and I went to the Sandals in Grenada for our honeymoon and I would totally recommend it. Easy flight, shuttle from the airport to the resort. Not nearly as much of an unknown as you and Jerry were making it sound like.
