Pal world actually makes a lot of generational leaps in game play, it's not just pokemon with guns, it's the step forward pokemon should have been working on ever since silver and gold, pal world takes inspiration from other games but does it in a way that to put it simply makes them better.

The fantasy of chopping down trees is in changing the world around you, not in the act of literally chopping down 100 trees, some people do enjoy farm sims, but devs hoping to go viral based solely on harvesting and survival missed the point and dug them selves into a hole. Pal world devs set out to make a fun game and deserve all the hype. Excited to see what they can do with a budget.
