As a gun violence prevention activist for over a decade, December 14th, Sandy Hook Remembrance Day is a day seared into my heart. I had a six month old baby, and it broke me.

Eleven years ago, we lost 20 bright, innocent children and 6 brave educators in a tragedy that shook our nation to its core at Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Connecticut.

With the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act in effect and the right people in Congress, there is so much more we can do to create safer schools and communities. Today and every day, we honor the victim's memories with action and stand in solidarity with their families, friends, and all affected by this heartbreaking loss. 🕊️💚
