@ryfkah I am half-way through re-reading Chalice by Robin McKinley and I think this may qualify, though the romance element is understated? The characters laugh about falling into exchanges of complements: but those are about competence and heart.

@TessaDare It depends. I've had the "bad" part last, maybe 5-10 days. What's funny is it doesn't much happen any more. Used to be if I cheated even once I'd start over with sugar cravings. Now I can go a couple months without sugar, have sorbet on vacation and often go right back off.

@Stoviesplz @northernpicts When using the female names list there, I'd recommend clicking through to the spreadsheet with sources and context. Some of the names are *not* attested Pictish names, but contemporary/legendary names they would have been exposed to (people who visited etc.).

@EKTwrites Smooth like they glide easy and don't need much pressure? That's what I love about #2, I just zip across the paper even at a steep angle...but they leak so often (especially with altitude changes) and that part is distinctly less fun. So trying something new perhaps...

@Curculiunculus @SarahEBond I've also seen mentions of: honey (mixed with wine and water; or fermented like mead), wine from mulberries and dates, cider, spiced diluted vinegar drinks, lemon water; with chilled fruit juice being more Greek. I have not checked sources on any of these though.

@KGGiarratano @kellyekell I like Discord, but the discussions are a different shape if that makes any sense? There's presumably hundreds of Discord writer servers and they may have overlap (I'm in maybe 6? Nope, I just counted 10!) but the discussions don't cross over quite the same way.

@realbadkerning @TadeThompson I have lost one chapter in Scrivener (lost power right as I finished it and it was gone from this earth) but Word is now badly malfunctioning with its autosaves (keeps scrambling the dates so the newest version looks like it came from months ago??) so I'm back in Scrivener.

@GovanStones @3Dgroovanstones @HorneSupremacy It could almost be a "Viking"-style tent or building with carved cross-pieces at both ends of the roof line, but that still doesn't explain the bit sticking up right of center. (Blue lines inexact but enough for the gist).
