#WalangPasok: Malacañang announced the suspension of work in government offices and classes at all levels starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, in Metro Manila and 16 provinces due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.

The suspension covers the following areas:
NCR, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Rizal, Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro.

Gina Acosta, former special disbursing officer of the Office of the Vice President, reiterated that she only followed orders when she contacted Colonel Raymund Lachica during the 16th day of the impeachment trial.

“Why did you have to call Colonel Lachica to inform him, ‘Colonel Lachica, ready na ang P125 million.’ Bakit?” Atty. Amando Ligutan asked.

Col. Raymund Dante Lachica is the former head of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG).

“Kasi po may instruction po sa taas, your honor, na ang aking head of agency na kung ma-encash ko po ang cheque, i-release ko po kay Sir Lachica… designate na security officer po, sa Office of the Vice President, na siya ‘yung order,” Acosta explained.
