My heart goes out to all the other athletes who have been robbed of their season. For some this is their lives, the thing that makes them happy. So don’t say it’s just a sport. I know I only played at a d3 school. That doesn’t change how passionate and deeply I loved my sport.
If you know me, you know my love for tennis. To have my college career end so abruptly is unbelievable. It hits me in waves that it’s actually over. Thousands of hours I’ve dedicated to this sport I love so so much and I played my last match without even knowing it’d be my last.
There was so much left to do. And I know I’ll look back and see all the fun times and things I experienced but right now all I can see are the things left undone. Such an amazing group of girls that I won’t be able to play with anymore. I had so much left to give to this sport.
the human has been working from home the last couple days. and every so often. they let me participate in the video calls. all the other humans cheer when they see me. i am the only thing holding their company together
