Sometimes, you just gotta stand up and applaud the cartel who’s been running the Premier League since the 80’s. The traditional top clubs actively sought the introduction of FFP to prevent clubs from outside the top 3 to challenge their positions at the top: there’s just too much money & power involved.

When Chelsea first started challenging their positions, they knew they were in trouble. When City were bought a few years later, they need their days at the top was numbered. They had to introduce legislation that helps protect their monopoly at the top.

That’s why FFP keep targeting all other clubs: Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton have tried to establish themselves and break into the top. It’s impossible. FFP keep restricting them - and that’s the intention.
