Today, I held a consultative meeting with the elected MCAs of Kiambu County in Karen, Nairobi.
During our discussion, we addressed a range of issues impacting the residents of Kiambu, including their challenges and expectations.
I emphasized that continuous engagement with grassroots leaders, who interact with the common mwananchi daily, is the most effective leadership approach.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the leaders for taking the time to apprise me of the community’s concerns.
I also commend their commitment to defending their seats under the DCP Party in the upcoming general elections scheduled for 10th August 2027.

Mr William Ruto the people of milangine are waiting for the 16th July, to prove to you and the world that dignity comes before money, beans and rice. They will vote in an MP who can say no to a punitive finance bill and say no to importing Ebola.
I strongly condemn the cowardly and unfortunate attack on Hon. Wycliffe Siocha, the Member of County Assembly for Ichuni Ward in Kisii County. This act of violence is not only an attack on an elected leader but also an assault on the democratic values and constitutional freedom that bind us together as a nation.
Violence, intimidation, and lawlessness have no place in our democracy. Every leader, regardless of political affiliation or opinion, has the right to serve the people without fear of harassment, threats, or physical harm. Political differences must always be resolved through dialogue, debate, and the democratic process, not through violence.
I therefore call upon all relevant investigative and security agencies to act on this matter immediately, conduct thorough investigations, apprehend those responsible, and ensure they are held fully accountable under the law. Impunity only emboldens criminality and undermines public confidence in our institutions.
As we approach a critical period in our nation’s political journey, I urge all leaders and citizens to reject political intolerance and uphold peace, respect, and the rule of law. Kenya’s future must be built on unity, justice, and democratic values, not fear and intimidation.
Today marked Day One of the KeLCoP oversight mission led by our Agriculture CECM Hon. Willis Ochieng and County Commissioner Norbert Komora, tracking the real impact of our agricultural investments.
At Bar Agulu in South East Alego, the Misiani Women Group has successfully scaled their poultry production from an initial 50 chicks per member to robust commercial flocks of about 200 birds, alongside vibrant kitchen gardens for household food security.
Meanwhile, our KSh 16.7 Million flagship N’giya Livestock Market is paying off handsomely. It now attracts nearly 1,000 heads of cattle on market days, effectively doubling previous trade volumes and boosting local commerce.
We remain committed to people centered development that drives productivity, strengthens food security, and elevates household incomes across Siaya County.
